My name is Jessica. I live in the great city of Louisville, Kentucky with my awesome husband Drew who I married in June of 2008.
Currently, I attend the University of Louisville with hopes to graduate in May 2010 with a BS in Elementary Education!
As a newlywed, I’ve recently been introduced to the wonderful world of caring for my home as well as the plethora of wonderful blogs out there telling you how to care for your home. I desire to become a wife and a mother who cultivates God-honoring hospitality in her home and who is a responsible steward of everything God has given.
In short, my prayer is that I will grow into a woman who honors God in everything I do and who strives to find my identity always in Christ. While the calling of wife is high, God’s grace is more than sufficient.
Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.
- Proverbs 31:25-31
